However, it’s founder, Jess McVey is no stranger to real estate. Jess bought her first rental property in 2001 at the age 24. She continue to buy rentals until 2015. Her primary focus shifted from buying rentals when she was approached by a property owner who’s relative had passed away and who was looking to sell quickly. The house also needed so much work it wouldn’t be able to be financed so it had to be sold for cash. Jess wanted to help the owner and to try flipping the property. She enjoyed both working directly with the seller and fixing the house so much she decided to expand her business to include buying properties directly from owners.
